What is CancerHelp and how can it help me?
The mission of the CancerHelp Institute, a not-for-profit organization, is two fold: to help patients and families fight cancer with the easy-to-use CancerHelp software and to make CancerHelp accessible by placing it where patients already go for treatments and services.
CancerHelp is designed for patients and uses a touchscreen monitor so that it is easy-to-use. CancerHelp contains a wealth of information from reliable sources such as the National Cancer Institute and Micromedex, a leader in providing patient medication information. CancerHelp provides information in English and Spanish and at both a patient and medical professional level. To keep CancerHelp current, the information is updated every month.
The CancerHelp software runs on touchscreen computer systems that are located in medical facilities, libraries, cancer wellness centers, etc. The CancerHelp software is made available to patients and family members through a subscription service paid for by the facility where the computer is located. There is no cost to the patient or family member for using the CancerHelp computer.
